Artistic Apparels Pvt Ltd Jobs Kids Knitwear Designer:
We are seeking a freelance “Kids Knitwear Designer” for our kids’ knitwear brand based in Karachi.
As a Kids Knitwear Designer, you’ll be responsible for creating captivating and age-appropriate designs for knitted apparel catering specifically to children. Your role involves conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing the production of knitwear items for kids, ensuring they align with the brand’s vision, quality standards, and market demands.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and age-appropriate concepts for knitted apparel targeting children.
- Produce sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings to visualize and communicate design ideas effectively.
- Stay updated with current trends, colors, patterns, and themes suitable for kids’ knitwear.
- Conduct market research to understand children’s fashion preferences and emerging trends.
- Create prototypes or samples considering children’s comfort, safety, and ease of wear.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on samples and final products to maintain design integrity and safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of designs, specifications, and production processes.
- Prepare design boards, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Modify designs based on feedback, market trends, and production constraints while maintaining the essence of the original concept.
- Stay flexible and adaptable to changing trends and consumer preferences in the children’s knitwear market.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Kids Knitwear Designer or a similar role in the fashion industry.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Strong understanding of knitting techniques, child-friendly materials, and fabric properties.
- Excellent sketching and illustration skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Knowledge of garment construction, patterns, and production processes specific to children’s apparel.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Education:
- A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications or courses in children’s fashion or knitwear design are advantageous.
