Designation: Assistant Manager IT
Location: Karachi
Qualifications: Must have a BS or MS in Computer Engineering from a reputable institution. CCNA & CCNP, Network Security & Firewall Certifications will be preferred.
Experience:
- 4-6 Years of relevant experience. Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role will be an added advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of server administration, L2 & L3 support, NAS server administration, firewall administration, and tape library administration.
Specifications:
- Manage and maintain the health and performance of servers and systems.
- Implement and oversee system upgrades and enhancements.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity.
- Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot servers to ensure seamless operation.
- Monitor server performance and proactively address issues.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth server integration with various applications.
- Provide second and third-level support for system-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.
- Administer Network Attached Storage (NAS) servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain storage solutions based on organizational requirements.
- Monitor and manage data storage, ensuring accessibility and security.
- Configure and manage firewall systems to safeguard network security.
- Monitor network traffic and implement security protocols. (pfsense & Sophos)
- Collaborate with cyber security teams to address potential threats.
- Maintenance and Administration of VoIP Servers, RTP & SIP.
- Possess precise knowledge of Tape Library Administration.
- Manage and monitor tape backups and archival systems.
- Ensure data recovery capabilities and perform routine tape library maintenance.
