Brief Overview of Responsibilities: The Pack Material Buyer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely availability of packaging materials required for manufacturing operations. The role focuses on cost optimization, supplier management, inventory control, quality compliance, and continuous improvement of packaging procurement processes while ensuring uninterrupted production support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and manage purchase orders
- Ensure timely delivery of packaging materials
- New Supplier Induction & Supplier Relationship Management
- Conduct RFQs and commercial evaluations.
- Monitor supplier performance on key KPIs
- Negotiation of commercial terms
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyse market trends and raw material price fluctuations affecting packaging costs.
- Support annual budgeting and procurement savings targets.
- Stakeholder management
- Support new initiatives
- Prepare procurement reports of KPI’s
Skills requirements: Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
