Looking For AM/DM Product Development
Education: Diploma from PSTC or KTDMC along with B-TECH.
Experience: Minimum 5 Years in development department.
Location: Korangi Industrial Area – Karachi.
Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare new part drawings and finalize them in coordination with the Department Head.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute product trials, evaluations, and validation activities.
- Prepare and manage product development plans, timelines, milestones.
- Monitor development projects and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Prepare sample inspection and development reports for newly developed parts.
- Identify project risks, technical challenges, and resource requirements, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of development activities, trial results, specifications, drawings, and approvals.
- Prepare and submit weekly product development progress reports.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control for testing, validation, inspection, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain new BOMs (Bill of Materials) for assemblies and moulded parts.
- Coordinate the timely arrangement and availability of mould spare parts.
- Prepare Purchase Orders (POs) for new technical parts, tools, fixtures, and other development requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for part, tooling, and fixture development.
- Inspect checking fixtures and assembly fixtures and monitor new tool development activities.
- Arrange inspection, testing, and validation activities for under-development projects.
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect, review, and maintain all required technical and quality documentation.
- Support and perform hands-on mould maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure proper preparation, completion, and maintenance of ISO-related documentation and records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, development processes, tooling, and manufacturing efficiency.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Hands-on experience with CAD and Creo for product design and drawing preparation.
- Good understanding of product development, moulds, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong project follow-up, coordination, and execution skills.
- Good technical problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple development projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet development deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good supplier/vendor coordination and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, BOMs, drawings, and development documentation.
- Good understanding of quality systems and ISO documentation requirements.
