We’re hiring! SCHOOL COUNSELOR
Location: SMB Fatima Jinnah School, Karachi.
Role Summary
Support students’ emotional, social, and psychological wellbeing and help create a safe, supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small-group counseling, wellbeing check-ins, and age-appropriate sessions.
- Support students with emotional, behavioral, family, peer, or academic concerns; help build coping and problem-solving skills.
- Keep confidential records, arrange and follow up on referrals, and escalate safety concerns under safeguarding procedures.
- Work with teachers, school leadership, families, and the Safe School Officer while respecting confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Participate in supervision and contribute to improving student wellbeing support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience supporting children or adolescents; school experience is preferred.
- Strong listening and communication skills; fluency in Urdu and English.
- Child mental health or trauma-informed training is an advantage.
