Position: Financial Management Specialist
Summary: A WB funded Project seeks a Financial Management Specialist to oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with local and World Bank standards. The role includes maintaining financial records, providing timely reports, ensuring sustainable business practices, and supporting capacity building. The specialist will coordinate with the Project Director and World Bank, manage budgets, funds, and payments, and maintain accurate financial reporting and records. Candidates should have a professional accounting qualification with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain financial systems and prepare statements.
• Ensure compliance with financial rules and World Bank guidelines.
• Improve financial management and internal controls.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and provide financial training.
• Manage budgets, funds, and payments.
• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records.
• Prepare timely financial reports and facilitate audits.
Qualifications:
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA/ICMA) required.
• MS in finance/accounting is a plus.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills and computer proficiency.
