LAMA Retail Jobs Financial Controller:
LAMA Retail is looking for The Financial Controller will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of Lama Retail. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, financial modelling skills and a deep understanding of IFRS & Accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and statutory reporting.
Regulate compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Corporate Laws & Income Tax / Sale Tax regulations.
Assist the CFO in upgrading tax planning and budgeting processes of the organization.
Use financial modelling techniques to anticipate and evaluate the impact of commercial decisions on the ever-changing business environment.
Support key stakeholders in business process re-engineering ensuring implementation of cost optimization solutions.
Forecast / Budget group’s cashflow requirements for effective cashflow management.
Reconcile and manage the group’s Working Capital (Receivables, Payables & Inventory).
Maintain the financial system by keeping it up to date for accurate / timely reporting of business transactions.
Manage and develop team, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
Ensure adequacy of accounting record for financial / tax audits.
Qualifications:
● Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4-5 years of post-qualification work experience in a senior finance role of a renowned retail / textile setup.
● In-depth knowledge of ERP Environment, IFRS and Taxation laws.
● Proven experience in handling complex accounting transactions, preferably in the retail industry.
● Functional understanding of corporate & secretariat practices would be a plus.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
● Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
● Adaptability and an initiative-taking approach to addressing financial challenges.
