Job Summary :
We are urgently seeking a highly observant and detail-oriented Monitoring Officer to oversee and ensure the optimal execution of all farm operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuous surveillance, data collection, and reporting on crop health, resource usage, irrigation systems, labor activities, and overall farm maintenance to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Field & Crop Monitoring :
Conduct daily rounds to monitor crop growth, health, and identify any signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
Irrigation Management: Oversee and report on irrigation schedules, water distribution efficiency, and the condition of irrigation channels and equipment.
Resource Tracking: Monitor the usage and storage of inputs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and fuel.
Labor Supervision : Observe and report on labor attendance, activity, and productivity in various sections of the farm (sowing, weeding, harvesting).
Infrastructure & Asset Inspection: Regularly check the condition of farm buildings, machinery, equipment, fences, and storage facilities, reporting any maintenance needs or security breaches
Immediate Reporting: Promptly report any critical issues, irregularities, or emergencies to the Farm Manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
💠A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related field (Diploma with extensive experience may be considered).
💠Proven experience (**
2-3 years
**) in a monitoring, supervisory, or inspection role within a large-scale agri-farm setting.
💠Strong knowledge of crop husbandry, irrigation methods, and common farm pests/diseases.
➡️Proficiency in using basic monitoring tools and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for reporting).
Key Skills & Competencies:
Exceptional observation and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent physical stamina to walk long distances across farm fields in various weather conditions.
Integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.
Good communication skills in Urdu and local languages; basic English is a plus.
