JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for training, scheduling, supervising, and assisting employees and coordinating linen handling such as daily sorting and inventory, distributing clean linen, and organizing inventory. Manages the daily operations of a laundry services department. Assigns and reviews the work of laundry employees engaged in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging, and delivering laundry to various departments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To make requisitions for any laundry supplies like detergents, soaps, bleaches, disinfectants, starches, etc., and to maintain proper records of the supplies and the items that have been laundered.
- Coordinating with the Engineering department about their routine maintenance of the equipment.
- To check all linen for stains and damage and report in case damaged.
- Coordinate linen handling such as daily sorting and inventory, clean linen distribution, solid linen collection, and storage room organization.
- Plan and judge for uniform replacement & also ensure that the management of uniform is proper or done accordingly (replacement & damage).
- Recruit, train, and supervise laundry staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of laundry operations, including inventory, usage, and maintenance logs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Qualification: Graduate / Masters preferred. Experience: 05 Years of progressive experience in Laundry Management especially a hospital background.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ensuring appropriate washing of linen and uniform as per standard.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
