Position Title: Web Developer / Webmaster
Location: Karachi, Shahra-e-Faisal
Experience: 3 – 4 years in the relevant field
Timings: 12 – 9 PM (Monday to Friday)
BreakThru is looking for a Webmaster who can maintain and update our website. You will be responsible for ensuring our site is secure, mobile-friendly, easy-to-use, and appealing to users. You should stay on top of current SEO trends and make any necessary updates to improve performance and minimize downtime. You will be updating our websites, fixing any broken links and images, improving page load speeds, ensuring we are up to the latest standards, managing infrastructure where needed and creating/managing backups of the site and its content Our ideal Webmaster candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field, with previous experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer. You should be proficient in HTML, CSS, and XML, with a working knowledge of Javascript and SQL. You will be collaborating with designers and marketers, and presenting reports to management, so you must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities.
Responsibilities
• Build functional websites that are easy to use on top of our Hubspot platform
• Collaborate with marketing staff on website ad campaigns, integration, and tracking
• Collaborate with designers to agree on a design for the websites, providing feedback on responsive and accessible content
• Test websites using different devices, browsers, and operating systems and resolve any disparities
• Apply provided content to the website to keep pages fresh and intriguing
• Collaborate with product team for updates to product pages, FAQs, and more
• Review the site content and update with current SEO trends
• Monitor, analyze, and report on all online traffic
• Analyze site performance and improve where necessary
• Ensure website functionality and efficiencyRespond to user complaints quickly and appropriately
• Manage WordPress and hosting account and site configuration
• Optimize site loading speeds
• Fix broken links and images
• Meet with management and report regularly on current functionality and plans for future functionality
• Perform any necessary updates
• Communicate with management on ways we can improve the usability
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Design, or another related field
• Previous experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer
• Understanding of web analytics
• Familiar with web content management systems such as WordPress and Hubspot
• Understanding of search engine optimization and current best practices
• Familiar with current web standards
• Knowledge of tools for website management
• Proficient in HTML/CSS and XML
• Knowledge of Javascript and SQL
