The Department of Civil Engineering, Ziauddin University – Faculty of Engineering, Science, Technology, and Management (ZUESTM), is seeking a highly motivated Lab Technician to work for an HEC-funded research project that aims to manage construction and demolition wastes through sustainable construction.
LAB TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team, providing essential technical support for the project. The ideal candidate will operate various equipment, collect data to support research, and perform general tasks as directed by the Principal Investigator. This is a 1-year contractual position.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
✅ Holds a DAE in Civil Engineering from a Board of Technical Education.
✅ Has experience of working in a relevant field.
✅ Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
✅ Familiar with Microsoft Office suite.
✅ Willing and able to carry out manual handling operations required for civil engineering activities.
OTHER SKILLS
🔹 Working knowledge of testing equipment relevant to civil engineering.
🔹 Ability to carry out work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
🔹 Ability to work with minimal supervision.

RESEARCH ASSISTANT (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in concrete technology research and data analysis, along with exceptional organizational skills. The main objective of this position is to offer research assistance and analyze data for the project. This is a 1-year contractual position.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
✅ Holds a BE/BS/MS Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
✅ Experience in concrete laboratory testing.
✅ Experience in data collection and analysis, and conducting research using various methods.
✅ Proven track record of publishing high-quality papers in peer-reviewed journals.
✅ Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
OTHER SKILLS
