UBL is looking to hire a suitable candidate for the position of Head IT & IS Audit. The incumbent will be responsible for leading IT and IS audits, covering the entire audit life cycle.
Job Description:
- Conduct domestic and international IT & IS audits in line with audit charter, policy and procedures and completion of audit plan effectively and efficiently
- Prepare internal audit plan for IT and IS based on robust risk assessment.
- Remain agile/alert (on best effort basis) for latest developments and changing landscape/threats in IT and IS domains and reflect the same in internal audit coverage on a proactive basis.
- Lead IT audit team for end to end audit execution along with understanding of auditable entity for identification of key risk auditable areas.
- Provide advice and support to assess and improve the internal control system in specialized technical systems.
- Ensure that IT and IS audit risks and findings are covered and reflected in audit report and that high risk observations impacting the auditable entity are incorporated and audit risk is hedged.
- Ensure that internal audit findings are followed up, escalated, closed and tracked effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure that regulatory findings are validated effectively and efficiently
- Provide support, where possible, to other internal audit units where IT expertise and support is requested.
- Ensure that working papers in line with the procedural manual are made available for timely review and review working papers effectively
- Support the Divisional Head – FM & IT Audit in ensuring appropriate staffing levels to keep the IT Audit unit functioning in full performance capacity, conduct interviews and hire new staff.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences from HEC recognized university.
- 8+ years professional experience in the fields of IT Audit, Information security, IT governance/controls in banking and financial sector.
- Candidates with certifications in information systems, information security, networking, IS like CISA, CISM, CEH etc. would be given preference.
- Candidates having foreign qualification would be given preference.
