Position: Capacity & Design Validation Lead
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible to provide technical support through network simulation studies to evaluate technical losses, network health, system reliability, efficiency, and flexibility ultimately contributing to the company’s objective of providing reliable power to consumers. It is also responsible for capacity planning and design proposals for network grids in coordination with GM Capacity Planning. This includes preparation of proposals related to network optimization & design expansion using simulation software, infrastructure improvement plans, fault restriction, power system studies, and N-1 regime implementation with technology that helps achieve improvements in the power system’s reliability and power quality. It is also responsible for the preparation of network and grid expansion plans for assigned grids including material planning for all mentioned projects and maintaining logs of all such modifications in the system.
Education & Relevant Experience:
- BE / ME / MS (Electrical Engineering)
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience
Knowledge:
- Electrical engineering
- Distribution network design
- IEC / IEEE standards
- NEPRA CSS and distribution code
- Load flow and simulation studies
- Good knowledge of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, RMUs, LBS, cables/conductor, etc.
- Project planning & execution
