Required Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance
Any relevant certification related to Finance and Audit

Required Experience: 2 – 3 years of prior work experience in audit firm

JOB PURPOSE: The incumbent will be responsible to assist the supervisor with project audits, preparing audit reports, and highlighting issues relating to internal controls & risk management processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning and conducting risk-based audits.
Develops audit projects and testing procedures relevant to risk and audit objectives.
Develop scope of project audit, together with the line manager.
Identify internal controls issues for key risk processes in a timely manner to proactively avert losses.
Ensure successful completion of assigned/planned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning, fieldwork, and wrap-up activities.
Identify test of controls, substantive procedures, and walk-through test to get in-depth knowledge of the project.
Perform audit procedures to verify the implementation and effectiveness of controls through testing and interacting with the relevant staff.
Discuss audit findings and recommendations with the line manager.
Identify and communicate control issues noted, offering practical solutions relevant to business and related risks.
Prepare and submit timely, quality audit reports; engage in meetings with management and departmental heads and advise on improvements.
Carry out spot checks on key areas of the expenditures, recruitments, organization’s policies, donor policies or guidelines, a physical count of fixed assets, etc.
Conduct site visits to check facility-based processes on immunization centers in each district on a monthly basis.
Manage audit files and ensure proper filing of working papers.
Maintain documentation of all audit procedures.
Update the line manager on regular basis; on execution and progress on assigned tasks and any arising significant internal control issues.
Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the line manager from time to time.
