Position:Â Deputy Manager, Technology for Development
• Support in designing and implementing SDP’s data management system
• Mine and visualise programme data for behavioral and business insights and visualise it according to the programme requirements and for internal and external sharing
• Integrate all project’s key performance metrics into a unified real-time dashboard for senior management
• Participate in design research process to understand end-users and programmatic needs to improve system efficiency
• Build staff capacity to use newly intervened systems by preparing training modules and organizing training sessions
• Synthesize and communicate technical design rationale and development progress to team
• Create a platform to integrate SDP’s database with other BRAC programmes
• Contribute to project planning and business development to ensure that technical aspects are well-integrated into broader project goals
• Support in TOR preparation for external consultants new tech-requirements
• Contribute to team’s budget preparation
• Digitize all field-based operational data and ensure the validity, reliability and integrity of all data gathered, with zero tolerance for data entry errors
• Capture the team’s leanings from integrating technology across SDP projects
Requirements
Educational qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science/ Economics/ Information Systems or ICT4D from any recognized university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations
Experience requirement: Minimum 01 year experience in relevant professional experience in data-oriented position is required
Additional Job Requirements:
• Strong programming skills in multiple languages and the ability to work with developers who are using alternative languages
• Fluency in some combination of R, Tableau, or HTML/CSS
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, C++, Python, D3 and PostgreSQL
• Proven experience in database integration among different platforms
• Demonstrated ability to implement advanced data analysis and database management tasks
• Familiarity with collaborative development platforms and especially GitHub
• Demonstrated ability to implement advanced data analysis and database management tasks
• Excellent analytical/ quantitative skills, data quality conscious, detail oriented, and able to identify key issues, formulate options and make recommendations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English and Bangla (critical)
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively and proficient at producing user-friendly tables, graphs and written outputs describing
