Job Opportunity: Accounts Officer – Payables
LAMA is looking forward to hire an Accounts Payable Officer, will be responsible for processing and managing all aspects of accounts payable, including but not limited to invoice verification, expense processing, and vendor payments. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and address payment-related issues.
- Ensure vendor payment terms are adhered to and take advantage of early payment discounts when applicable.
- Process employee expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Verify supporting documentation for expense claims.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs.
- Review and reconcile payment batches before processing.
- Coordinate with the finance team to ensure sufficient funds are available for payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activities as required.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting and tax regulations related to accounts payable.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Quickooks is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Salary: 40k-45k
Location: Upper Mall, LAMA Head-Office
