Purpose
This position plans, budget and manages I&C maintenance activities of machines and designated team pertaining to Block-1 (GT1&2, STG-1 for continuous efficiency and performance with solutions to arising problems as per the requirements of HSE and KE.
Education: BE/BSC Electronics or Electrical
Knowledge
· Possess knowledge associated with power plant operations especially regarding Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine.
· Should possess in depth theoretical and practical knowledge of field instrumentation.
· Possess profound knowledge of control systems and DCS.
· Must have proficiency with Computer knowledge such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, CMMS/SAP.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience of working in I&C maintenance section of CCPP in capacity of Assistant Manager.

Area of Responsibilities
1 Administrative: (10 %)
· Administering I&C maintenance section in accordance with instructions and directives of the management, rules and regulations in practice.
· Preparation of maintenance plan, HR development and sectional objectives setting.
· Maintains punctuality, discipline and confidence among the team members and ensure observance of the management rules.
2 Functional: (70%)
· Organize and control all I&C maintenance activities (planned and unplanned) to meet performance targets, ensure maximum availability and reliability of equipment’s.
· Leading a team of subordinates and delegating work to them and ensuring timely completion of the same as per defined objectives.
· Ensure that all maintenance activities are appropriately carried out with quality, real spirit of work permit system and other standards of the plant. Shall strive for continuous improvement of the same.
· Conducting regular inspections and surveys of the plant equipment’s during maintenance and operational time to ensure proper risk analysis, quality of work, timeline control, operational and maintenance ease, improved housekeeping, equipment and workmen safety and maintenance cost reduction.
· Keeping record of all maintenance and service activities in readily presentable format.
· Interacting with other departments to ensure proper functioning of all systems.
· Keeping record of all the day-to-day maintenance and service activities undertaken in his section. Prepare detailed reports for major equipment’s failure & maintenance.
· Focus on maintenance of single point failure equipment’s
· Utilize SAP MM Module up to full extent for proper inventory management.
· Synchronizing work processes with other sections’ activities to avoid unnecessary outages.
· Provide engineering expertise in RCA, troubleshooting and resolution of persistent problems. Avoid reworks and give recommendations for improvement. · Ensure cleanliness of all indoor and outdoor work areas.
· Conduct employee performance reviews based on their assigned responsibilities and contribution / value addition to the plant.
· Communicates regularly with all team members, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication and higher confidence and trust level.
· Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective administration. Enhance subordinates’ wellbeing and capability through training and opportunities for development.
· Ensure that all maintenance tasks are being done as per OEM recommendations, site conditions and in compliance with regulatory requirements. · Utilize SAP PM Module up to full extent and timely completion of PM & CM work orders.
· Perform any task assigned by the plant management pertaining to the functions of the power plant.
· Annual Budget planning by closely monitoring the inventory for the designated area.
· Timely prepare purchase requisitions for effective inventory management and closely evaluate the quoted items technically to ensure timely availability of correct item in stock.
· Keep eyes on spare parts usage and stock level and suggest re-ordering level.

3 HSE (10%)
· Maintain and enforce safety program for I&C maintenance section; ensure implementation of standards for maximum safety of subordinates and fellows.
· Complying with all safety norms and regulations set by the company. · Conduct safety talks and brainstorming sessions with team members.
· Complying with all corporate policies, administrative orders and OHSE rules while carrying out maintenance functions and sectional affairs.
4 Training (10 %)
· Extend support, guidance and training to subordinates for technical and administrative development and in achieving their annual objectives.
· Train subordinates to enhance their technical skills on filed instrumentation and control systems.
· Deliver plant wide training as part of training need assistance program.
