UNIT HEAD, TREASURY FINANCE & ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

PSX is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to assume the pivotal role of Unit Head Treasury in its Finance & Accounts Department, based in the Head Office in Karachi. This position is instrumental in managing and optimizing PSX’s treasury and liquidity operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that ensure efficient treasury operations in line with PSX’s financial goals and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional leadership skills, steering the treasury unit towards maintaining optimal liquidity positions and managing currency and interest rate exposures. The expertise in treasury management systems will be crucial in streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of cash flow forecasting and reporting. A strong understanding of financial instruments and capital markets and a profound knowledge of the local and international financial environment will be essential for this role.

If selected for the role, you will be anticipated to create strong relationships with all stakeholders. You will not only expected to handle the treasury function but also contribute to the overall finance department by helping to build the team and enhance process efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and supervise all treasury operations for PSX.
Manage and supervise various payments and their banking arrangements.
Manage and supervise Centralized Billing and Recovery functions.
Preparing and compiling various financial statement reports, including directors’ reports, federal budget proposals, etc.
Manage and support functions of PSX Trust Funds, including PSX CCPCF and Employee Gratuity Fund.
Manage distribution/revalidation/cancellation of dividends.
Supervise and collaborate in updating the Process Description Document and Risk Register.
Update and prepare financial manuals and SOPs.
Responsible for supporting the department’s staffing function, with a key role in selection, performance management, and staff development.
Manage relationships with key counterparts and internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
Financial Modeling, Budgeting and Analysis Skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments to produce high-quality work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

At least 6-8 years of treasury-related experience in the financial industry.
Should be an MBA or related accounting qualification; Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) from ICAP is preferable.
