Head of Law/Legal

Location: OLP Head Office, Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi

Educational Background:

LLB required, or LLM from a reputable institution.
10-15 years of progressive experience in legal advisory roles, preferably in a listed company or large organization with expertise in SECP & SBP regulations.

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead legal processes, including drafting, negotiations, and commercial settlements, while managing junior legal staff.
Provide legal guidance to senior leadership on departmental transactions and risk management.
Review financing agreements, compliance frameworks, and mortgage documents.
Advise on litigation issues, including contract disputes and product liability.
Influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership towards unified goals.
Negotiate and manage complex transactional documents, including mergers, acquisitions, and contracts and mitigate risks.
Mentor and develop legal team members for future leadership roles.
Handle patent, trademark, and regulatory documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with external legal partners.
Assist HR and other departments in reviewing contracts and implementing legal improvements.
Prepare responses to notices from regulators and advise on overdue litigation risks.
