CAREER OPPORTUNITIES: Karakoram Cooperative Bank Ltd (KCBL), established in 1956, is one of the leading financial institutions in Gilgit Baltistan, with a wide network across the region. We take great pride in providing financial services even in the most remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan.

KCBL is seeking applications from highly qualified, skilled, experienced and dynamic professionals to fill the following positions in the IT and Audit Departments. All positions are based at the Head office, Gilgit. Appointments will be made on a one-year contractual basis, which may be regularized upon successful completion of the contract period.

1. Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager IT Security

Required Qualification and Experience

Master’s degree or (16 years of education) in Computer Science, IT, Software/Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field from an HEC-recognized university.
Must have 8–10 years of relevant progressive experience in developing, maintaining and implementing enterprise Information security in a bank.
Hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise security infrastructure including Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), VPN solutions, Network Access Control (NAC), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and security monitoring platforms.
Strong understanding and practical experience of SBP Enterprise Technology Governance & Risk Management Framework, Risk-Based Cyber Security Controls, Operational Risk Management, and regulatory compliance requirements applicable to banks and financial institutions.
Experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Information Security policies, SOPs, and controls aligned with SBP regulations, ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST Cyber security Framework, and industry best practices.
Experience in security assessment, monitoring, and protection of Core Banking Systems (CBS), ATM Switches, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Payment Systems, API integrations, Digital Banking platforms, and third-party fintech applications.
Active CISM, CISA or CISSP Certification required, additional certifications are preferred.

2. Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager Application Support

Required Qualification and Experience

Master’s degree or (16 years of education) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from an HEC-recognized university.
Must have 8–10 years of relevant IT experience and strong hands-on experience in supporting Core Banking Systems (CBS) or other enterprise banking applications in a bank.
Strong hands-on experience in Core Banking System support including issue resolution, parameter management, user support, product configuration and application monitoring.
Experience in managing End of Day (EOD), Start of Day (SOD), and other critical banking application processes, ensuring timely completion and resolution of production issues.
Must be familiar with branch banking workflows.
Provide functional support to CBS users across branches and head office.
Manage user rights, roles, and system access according to internal SOP’s and regulatory controls.
Strong understanding of banking operations, transaction processing, GL integration, reconciliation processes, and interfaces between CBS and other banking systems.

3. IT Auditor (Deputy Manager)

Required Qualification and Experience

Master’s degree or any other equivalent qualification (16 years of education) from HEC-recognized institution in relevant field.
Must possess a relevant professional qualification/certification such as CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) or an equivalent recognized IT Audit Certification.
Must possess 5–8 years of the relevant experience as IT Auditor.
Must have sound expertise in ISACA/COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001, and COSO frameworks, including their practical application in IT Audit and internal controls.
Must have a strong understanding of banking technology and systems, including Core Banking System (CBS), ATM Networks, Internet/Mobile banking, RTGS, SWIFT, Card systems and related payment channels.
Should be familiar with key banking products and operations, including loan/financing, Deposits, Term Deposits (TDs) and other relevant banking services, as well as applicable State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Prudential Regulations (PRs).
Should have comprehensive knowledge of IT Policies, Procedures, Controls, Risk management, IT governance structures and Regulatory Compliance requirements.
Should be capable of planning and conducting IT Audits, assessing IT controls and risks, identifying control weaknesses and preparing clear Audit observations and recommendations.
