𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆:
We are seeking a high-caliber taxation professional to join our Finance function at JS Investments, based at our Head Office in Karachi.
This role offers a unique opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of taxation matters across both the Asset Management Company (AMC) and the Funds under management, covering income tax and sales tax compliance.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
✅ Tax Compliance Management: Lead end-to-end tax compliance for the AMC and all managed funds, ensuring adherence to applicable income tax and sales tax laws.
✅Withholding Tax Management: Manage withholding tax obligations, including preparation and timely filing of statements, annual returns, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
✅Sales Tax Oversight: Oversee sales tax filings across multiple funds, ensuring accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance with statutory timelines.
✅Income Tax Filings & Computations: Handle advance tax computations and annual income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory alignment.
✅Tax Registrations: Manage NTN and STRN registrations for newly launched funds, ensuring timely onboarding from a tax perspective.
✅Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities (FBR, SRB) and external consultants, handling assessments, notices, refunds, and correspondence.
✅Transaction Review: Review day-to-day financial transactions and payments to ensure correct tax treatment, withholding application, and compliance with applicable regulations.
✅Process Improvement: Contribute towards strengthening the overall tax governance framework, controls, and process efficiency within the Finance function.
𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
✅Applicants are required to have a professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or ACMA. Experience
✅We are seeking professionals with 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in asset management, financial services, or a reputable audit/tax firm.
