Designation: Manager Fire & Safety
Qualification: Graduate, preferably Engineer, with advanced Certifications in Fire Safety
Experience: 06 to 08 years
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an organization’s fire safety strategy, policy, and Pre-fire plan
- Develop and plan training programmed for different levels of fire safety operatives
- Monitor and mitigate unwanted fire signals and carry out the reporting of fire incidents
- Liaise with enforcing authorities
- Monitor inspections and maintenance of fire safety systems
- Develop and use control systems for contractors and other visitors to the site/building/organization etc.
- Responsible for the organizational fire risk management strategy, its scope, and day-to-day management of it and internal audit
- Determining the levels of competence for people working for the organization including external contractors
- Dealing with the verification of fire risk assessments and implementation of the action plan including carrying out regular fire safety audits
- Employing external contractors for regular maintenance and testing of passive and active safety equipment and ensuring contractors are third-party accredited and have on-site fire safety induction training.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and current relevant guidance
- Organizing training for staff at various levels
