Officer – Comprehensive

The ideal candidate should have the following qualification, experience and skill sets:

BSc /B. Tech/BE Civil/Mechanical Specialized training in anti-corrosion techniques (e.g., coating systems, cathodic protection, NACE certification preferred).
Diploma of Associate Engineering
Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in anti-corrosion, protective coating, and surface preparation activities.
Practical experience in sandblasting, abrasive blasting, painting, coating application, and surface treatment.
Knowledge of corrosion control techniques and coating inspection requirements.
Familiarity with industrial painting systems, coating materials, and application equipment.
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in the Power Generation / Power Plant industry.
Corrosion Identification & Prevention, Ability to identify corrosion types, coating failures, and areas requiring maintenance. Understanding of preventive maintenance techniques for corrosion control.
Equipment & Tool Handling, Safe operation and maintenance of blasting equipment, spray guns, compressors, grinders, and associated tools. Proper selection and use of tools for anti-corrosion work.
Power Plant Maintenance Support (Preferred), Familiarity with anti-corrosion requirements for boilers, pipelines, tanks, steel structures, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment in power plants. Understanding of plant maintenance practices and shutdown activities.

The main responsibilities of the position will involve:

Check and coordinate the activities of all sub-departments (operations, maintenance, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, safety, etc.)
Perform surface preparation activities including cleaning, grinding, blasting, and coating removal.
Assist in applying protective coatings, paints, and corrosion-resistant materials on plant equipment and structures.
Inspect coating conditions and identify signs of corrosion or coating deterioration.
Support maintenance teams in corrosion prevention and asset preservation activities.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and usage of painting and coating materials.
Execute to work effectively with maintenance, operations, and contractor teams.
Ensure proper storage and handling of paints, solvents, abrasives, and consumable materials.
Follow approved work procedures, quality requirements, and technical instructions.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and technical training programs.
Maintain good housekeeping standards at work locations upon completion of assigned tasks.
Assist maintenance teams during outages, shutdowns, and emergency maintenance activities.
Work collaboratively with other technicians and contractors to complete assigned jobs on schedule.
Ensure efficient utilization of materials and minimize waste during coating activities.
Perform any other anti-corrosion and maintenance support duties assigned by supervisors.
