PROJECT BASED VACANT POSITIONS

Applications are invited from qualified individuals domiciled in the province of Punjab (both Hard & Soft form) for the following positions under the funded projects positions as detailed below:-

HEC FUNDED PROJECT (NRPU-87309)

HEC-funded NRPU project No. 87309 titled “DEEPGUARD DEEPFAKE AUDIO EXPLOITATION PREVENTION & GUARDING AGAINST REAL-TIME DECEPTION”

1. Research Assistant

• No. of Posts: 02
• Duration: 09 Months
• Pay Package: Rs. 100,000/- per month
• Age Limit: Up to 40 Year
• Eligibility Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science from a recognized institution.
  • Expertise in Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, and Transformer-based architectures. Knowledge of audio and video signal processing.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other modern ML frameworks.
  • Prior experience working as a student researcher on projects and demonstrated research capability will be a plus, though not mandatory.

HEC FUNDED PROJECT (NRPU-20-143413-36)

HEC funded project (NRPU-20-143413-36) regarding advertisement of project staff position as titled “Revolutionizing Contraction Industry using AI-Driven Aerial Monitoring System”

1. Research Assistant

• No. of Posts: 01
• Duration: 10 Months (Extendable)
• Pay Package: Rs. 100,000/- per month
• Age Limit: Up to 45 Year
• Eligibility Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering/ Software Engineering/ Computer Science or a similar discipline (16 years of education) from a HEC recognized university.
  • Strong academic profile and research capability with conference or journal publications (published/submitted).
  • Prior experience working as a student researcher on projects will be a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Preference will be given to candidates having hands-on expertise in the following areas:
    • Machine Learning/Deep Learning (Algorithm development)
    • Computer Vision/3D Vision
    • Programming languages (Python, C++, MATLAB)
    • COLMAP/NeRFs/Lab
    • OpenCV/Open 3D
    • Deep learning for 3D vision (PointNetL, PointNet++, KPConv, SparseConv, Transformer-based models)
  • Additional preference will be given to candidates having experience:
    • CUDA Basics and Training on GPU
    • Image segmentation or object detection (YOLO, Mask R-CNN)
    • Experience with multimodal data (RGB + Thermal)
    • Good technical writing and communication skills.

General Instruction for all categories:

1. The submission of an application is a two-step process. It is mandatory to submit the Application in hard copy as well as on the Online form:

a. Application on prescribed form (available at www.uettaxila.edu.pk) along with CV and other testimonials must be reached in the office of the undersigned on or before 16.11.2026 (Monday) up to 3:00 PM.

b. Applicants must also be fill in the particulars and submit the form as mentioned below of each category.

2. Application fee (non-refundable) Rs.2000/- must be paid in favor of the Treasurer, UET Taxila, in the form of Bank Draft/Postal Order/IBL Challan of UET Taxila Branch.

3. The above posts are purely project-based, hence, no right of regular appointment.

4. Attested copies of degree/ certificate/ testimonials/ CNIC/ experience certificates and photographs must be attached.

5. In case of any educational document or any other document provided by the applicants is found incorrect/ fake at any stage, the candidate will be disqualified immediately.

6. Incomplete or late-received applications will not be entertained, and only short-listed candidates are called for a test/ interview.

7. The university reserves the right to accept or reject any/all application (s) without assigning any reason.

8. No TA/DA will be paid for the Test/ Interview etc.
