Responsibilities
- Responsible in maintaining resilient operations and support in ERP Applications.
- Develop & maintain standard report repository and build ad-hoc reports in ERP as & when required
- Resolve ERP related service issues to ensure client satisfaction.
- Primary responsibility is to ensure data integrity, data consistency, data accessibility for concurrent users, data security and database backup and recovery
- Take responsibility of Application database administrator and be able to effectively manage cloning, application of patches, application upgrades etc.
- 7/24 Production Support, troubleshooting and Performance tuning
- Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users
- Considering both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
- Installing and testing new versions of the database management system (DBMS)
- Controlling access permissions and privileges
- Developing, managing and testing back-up and recovery plans including effective DRP
- Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
- Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
- Coordinating with users in diagnosing, isolating and implementing fool proof remedies for database & application errors using knowledge of system characteristics
- Coordinate with third party support in resolution of tasks not being able to resolve internally which includes coordination with implementers and Oracle
- Preparing or providing input to written documentation for technical methods, procedures, functions or processes to support the installation, operations, training, and maintenance of information technology systems or applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with Database administration courses. Oracle DBA certification (preferred).
- 1-3 years of Oracle EBS support/execution as Database Administrator
