Mughal Iron & Steel Industries Limited (MISIL) is looking for a proactive, well-organized and results-oriented Logistics Executive to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in logistics operations, transportation coordination, shipment planning, freight management and documentation, preferably within a large manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient movement of materials and goods.
- Plan and coordinate transportation requirements with transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, clearing agents, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Track shipments and transportation schedules, ensuring timely deliveries while proactively addressing delays and operational issues.
- Coordinate movement of imported materials and consignments from ports/terminals to designated company facilities.
- Obtain and evaluate freight and transportation quotations and support negotiations to achieve competitive logistics costs.
- Monitor freight, transportation, detention, demurrage and other logistics-related costs and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Prepare, verify and maintain transportation, shipment, delivery and logistics documentation with complete accuracy.
- Coordinate with Imports, Procurement, Stores, Finance, Accounts and other concerned departments for seamless material movement and receipt.
- Maintain updated shipment trackers, logistics records, transporter performance data and management reports.
- Ensure logistics activities are carried out in accordance with organizational procedures, applicable regulations and agreed timelines.
Candidate Profile
Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
Experience: Preferably 3–5 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, freight or supply chain operations. Experience with a large manufacturing/industrial organization will be preferred.
Key Competencies
Strong understanding of logistics operations, transportation management, freight coordination, shipment tracking and logistics documentation.
The candidate should possess strong coordination, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and operational priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP-based working environments will be an advantage.
