Role Summary
Responsible to manage the underwriting process for marine insurance, assessing risk, and collaborating with division/branches to ensure profitable and efficient insurance operations in compliance with policy/ manual guidelines.
Responsibilities
- To evaluate new/ renewal marine insurance proposals, analyze risk for both conventional/ takaful in adherence to underwriting guidelines.
- To issue the cover notes, policies, quotations and endorsements as per guidelines.
- Determine appropriate premiums and coverage limits based on risk assessments and industry standards.
- Review and update existing insurance policies as needed based on changes in risk assessment or client requirements.
- Provide detailed reports and documentation on underwriting decisions and risk evaluations.
Qualification: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management or related discipline
Experience: Minimum 05 year of experience in general insurance underwriting, preferably in the marine underwriting.
