💼 Job Vacancy: IT Specialist / Officer – Coal Mining Industry (Shanghai Electric)
Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist/Officer to join our IT team at the Tharparkar site within the coal mining industry. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth network operations, system security, and technical support for all on-site activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support I.T department and services. Facilitate and coordinate all staff of Thar & Karachi office
- Provide I.T resource and arrangement in online meetings/ video conferencing
- Configure, manage and monitoring of Network services (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access points).
- Installation, Configuration and technical support in all Chinese / local staff laptops, mobile, VPN problems, printers and scanners.
- Configure, manage and monitoring of PABX and IP Phones.
- Configure monitoring and manage SIP Phone lines.
- Procurement of IT equipment
- Manage SSL Hosting and Domain if have.
- Configure, manage and record keeping of network security and register devices
- Coordination and resolving issues with Internet service provider
- Coordination with plant office building in regular office operations work (Vendors/Visitors/Staff access, Phone extension service, Item gate pass, etc.).
- Admin assets inventory and record keeping, including I.T hardware Laptops/ Printer/IP-Phone /Access points / Cameras/NVR/Switches/ Rack/TVs etc.
- Cellular network record keeping/follow-up (Telenor, Zong, etc.)
- Coordination & backup of other Admin Colleagues when they are on leave, and other job which given by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
- At least 2+ years’ experience in IT support, system administration & network management.
- Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and IT troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ability to work independently and have problem-solving and communication skills
- Proficient in English and Chinese will be preferred.
