Assistant Manager IT Systems & Networks (Mill Based Position-Port Qasim)
Education & Experience:
Candidate must have Bachelors (preferably Computer Science) with minimum 08 years of experience (preferably Manufacturing Industry)
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Management:
- Install, configure, and manage servers (Windows, Linux, etc.), including Active Directory, Exchange, and virtual servers (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Regularly monitor system performance, utilization, and availability to ensure smooth operation
- Plan, implement, and manage backup strategies, and ensure quick recovery during system failures or disasters
- Schedule and apply security patches, OS updates, and software upgrades to keep systems secure and up-to-date
- Oversee storage solutions, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and availability
Network Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks
- Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls to prevent unauthorized access
- Use network monitoring tools to oversee network performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure uptime
- Diagnose and resolve network issues (e.g., latency, downtime) to maintain optimal performance
- Optimize bandwidth usage and implement policies to prioritize critical business services
- Liaise with Internet Service Providers for any issues or upgrades related to connectivity
