Job Summary
The Planning Manager will oversee all scheduling activities for a wind energy project, ensuring timely, on-budget completion by coordinating with teams, managing risks, and monitoring progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Scheduling: Develop and update detailed schedules from pre-construction to handover.
- Resource Management: Coordinate resource allocation across departments for project efficiency.
- Progress Monitoring: Track progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Risk Management: Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
- Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports, analyzing KPIs and schedule variance.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Align project goals, timelines, and deliverables with teams and contractors.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply best practices and pursue process enhancements in planning and scheduling.
Qualification and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with a strong background in renewable energy projects, particularly wind energy.
Key Competencies
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and relevant tools (GIS, AutoCAD).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of wind energy projects, including regulatory, environmental, and construction aspects.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to anticipate issues and create effective solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
