HIRING OF SCHOOL TEACHING INTERNS (STIs) FOR GOVT. SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS IN GUJRANWALA DIVISION.

District Education Officer (Special Education) Gujranwala is inviting applications from eligible candidates (Men, Women and Transgender) residents of Punjab, for engagement of School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions of Gujranwala Division (District Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Hafizabad) under the policy of Government of the Punjab, Special Education Department bearing No. SO(SE)5-20/07 (2008) dated 22-03-2022.

- Academic Qualification: (i) M.A. or BS (first division or grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field visually impaired or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; and (ii) Certificate of proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education, Punjab.

Senior Special Education Teacher (MC Field)
- BS: 17
- Academic Qualification: M.A. or BS (first division or grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the field of mentally challenged or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission.
- Age Limit: 21-28 Years
- Age Relaxation: Male: upto 05-years | Female: upto 08-Years | Disable Persons: Up to 15 years (subject to disability certificate)
Computer Teacher
- BS: 16
- Academic Qualification: BS in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or Software Engineering or equivalent qualification from a university recognized by Higher Education Commission.
- Age Limit: 21-28 Years
- Age Relaxation: Male: upto 05-years | Female: upto 08-Years | Disable Persons: Up to 15 years (subject to disability certificate)

3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and age limit (including age relaxation) as per STI Policy issued by Special Education Department. Fresh aspiring candidates having relevant qualification are encouraged to apply. However, preference may be given to candidates having teaching experience.

4. TERMS & CONDITIONS

Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific and non-transferable.
Preference may be given to candidates having teaching experience.
Duration 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2026-27 or till arrival of regular incumbents, whichever is earlier.
Monthly Honorarium:
- BS-16: Rs. 40,000/-
- BS-17: Rs. 45,000/-
No right of regular appointment shall be conferred.
Performance and attendance will be strictly monitored by concerned authorities.
Engagement may be terminated on one month notice or payment in lieu thereof.
Incomplete or late applications shall not be entertained.
Candidates must bring original documents at the time of interview.
The department reserves the right to increase/decrease number of posts or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
The engagement of STIs will be made in accordance with the above-mentioned policy and the hired STIs will also be governed in accordance with the said policy.
