Descon Engineering is hiring for its Oman Office.
Position Title: Lead Proposals
Job Location: On Site, Sohar, Oman
Education & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from a recognized and reputed institute with 08-12 years’ field experience of proposals at construction, maintenance site and shutdown projects
Proposed Salary: Up to 1600 OMR + Benefits as per company policy
Job Responsibilities:
1- Evaluate and analyze proposal to check accuracy of all results for a comprehensive technical and commercially viable proposal for review by Management.
2- Timely preparation of a competitive bid
3- Prepare and develop detailed proposals for shutdown and turnaround projects, including scope of work, schedule, and budget estimates, manhour calculations and material take off as per Bid documents/drawings etc.
4- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operational teams to gather technical and commercial inputs.
5- Develop project plans, including timelines and resource allocation, for successful execution during shutdown and turnaround phases.
6- Read and understand the contract carefully to identify all potential risks and establish the approach to mitigate those risks by planning out preventive measures. Act as contract representative of DEL at site and seek approvals from Head of Operations for any major changes and deviations prior to the agreement with parties involved.
7- Plan, define, verify and control the scope of the project in order to ensure that project includes all the work required and only the work required. Identify, document and charge any extra work (which was not included in the original scope) to client.
8- Estimate the cost of the project, and ensure that all the resources (including materials, and equipment & plant) necessary for execution are within stipulated budget allocated to the project in order to control the cost of the project.
9- Comply with all QA/QC standards (Company’s documents) as applicable to the company systems, policies, procedures, and documents in order to deliver the expected quality of work.
