Position: EHS Executive
Location: Hattar
Employment Type: Permanent
Department: Environment Health & Safety
Qualification: B.E. preferably in Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or Mechanical
Experience: At least 2 years of relevant experience, FMCG preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conducts and ensures 100% delivery of EHS induction training to all new third party workers including weekly institutional visits.
- Coordinates with line management to expedite the completion / correction of reported EHS hazards / issues including accident investigation actions. Conducts employee engagement activities like Health and Safety Day to promote the safety culture and awareness.
- Coordinates to incorporate ISO standards into the SOPs of the organizations; Seeks to ensure the compliance of SOPs and ISO standards of Environmental management (ISO 14001)
- Conducts environmental impact and aspect studies in line with the ISO requirements.
- Ensures compliance of all periodic EHS inspection e.g., firefighting equipment, LUX (lighting) and Noise monitoring.
- Coordinates to update emergency response SOPs and seeks to ensure their implementation.
- Conducts monthly / quarterly firefighting drills / training for security guards of the organization for training and practical purposes.
- Provides emergency response trainings to wardens chosen for the cross-department emergency teams.
- Coordinates to organize quarterly meetings to assess the status of emergency response in departments.
- Conducts / updates periodic risk assessment of all relevant areas and task / Job based risk assessment of individual high-risk project / activities e.g., crane activity.
- Ensures the periodic monitoring of contractor’s / contracted work of third-party vendors including counselling, immediate corrections and escalation.
- To carryout conflict management among team to develop a competitive and challenging environment.
