SITUATIONS VACANT (Non-Teaching)

Applications on the prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for the following positions for an initial term of three years, extendable subject to satisfactory performance in accordance with the University Act and Statutes.

POSITIONS & ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. Registrar (BPS-20) (Direct Appointment)

Department / Section: General Administration

No. of Post(s): 01

Qualification / Experience / Age:
- o Ph.D. with 13 years’ experience; OR

MS / M.Phil. / Equivalent Degree with at least 2nd division with 15 years’ experience; OR

Master’s Degree / MA / M.Sc. / BS or equivalent degree with 2nd division (or CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0) from HEC recognized university/ Institution with 17 years’ experience in BPS-17 or above in teaching or administration.

Should be well versed in latest office techniques, use of computer and capable of communicating with teachers, students and various organizations.

Age: As per government policy

2. Treasurer (BPS-20) (Direct Appointment)

Department / Section: Finance

No. of Post(s): 01

Qualification / Experience / Age:
- o Ph.D. in Commerce/Business Administration (Finance/Accounting), Economics or equivalent from HEC recognized University/DAI with 13 years’ relevant experience in BPS-17 and above or its equivalent in a university or Govt. organization or autonomous body, OR

MS/M.Phil. /Equivalent Degree in Commerce/Business Administration (Finance/Accounting), Economics or equivalent relevant qualification with at least 2nd division with 15 years’ relevant experience in BPS-17 and above or its equivalent in a university or Govt. organization or autonomous body, OR

Professional Degree as ACA/ACMA/FCA/FCMA/ACCA/CA/PIPFA with 17 years’ relevant experience in BPS-17 and above or its equivalent in a university or Govt. organization or autonomous body, OR

Master/BS Degree (16-year education) in Finance/Accounting/Commerce/Economics or equivalent with at least 2nd division (or CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0) from HEC recognized University/DAI with 17 years’ relevant experience in BPS-17 or above or equivalent in a recognized University or Govt. organization or autonomous body.

Shall have excellent administrative and communication skills with latest office techniques and good leadership qualities.

Age: As per government policy

Preference: Preference shall be given to eligible candidates from the Audit and Accounts Service in accordance with Section 14 of the AJK Public Sector Universities Act, 2026.

3. Controller of Examinations (BPS-20) (Direct Appointment)

Department / Section: General Administration

No. of Post(s): 01

Qualification / Experience / Age:
- o Ph.D. with 13 years’ experience; OR

MS / M.Phil. / Equivalent Degree with 2nd division with 15 years’ experience; OR

2nd Division Master’s Degree / MA / M.Sc. / BS or equivalent degree with at least 2nd division (or CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0) from HEC recognized University/Institution with 17 years’ experience in BPS-17 or above in teaching or administration.

Should be well versed in latest office techniques, use of computer and capable of communicating with teachers, students and various organizations.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Candidates are required to submit attested copies of their degrees, result cards, transcripts, certificates, Domicile & State Subject etc. along with prescribed application forms in person or send by Post to the Registrar, University Secretariat, University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir P.C 11100.

Certificates, Transcripts and Detailed Marks Certificate issued before the last date will be accepted, Provisional/Hope Certificate will not be accepted.

Candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate application forms for each post applied with required documents completed in all respects.

The prescribed application form may be downloaded from the University’s official website www.uokajk.edu.pk. The completed form must be accompanied by the original University Challan or a Bank Draft for the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 20,000/- for BPS-20. Alternatively, the application fee may be submitted through a Bank Draft for the same amount, drawn in favour of the Treasurer, University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalence certificate issued by the HEC.

The age limit shall not be applicable to in-service permanent University / Government employees.

In-service (permanent employee) candidates must apply through proper channel by the due date otherwise their applications will not be entertained.

Applicants will be short listed based on written test (where required) in their respective fields. Only the top five candidates having marks 50% or above in written test conducted by any recognized testing service agency will be called for interview against one post. Final selection against the post will be made on the recommendations of Selection Board.

The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of advertised posts or to cancel the advertisement, either partially or entirely, without assigning any reason.

Application forms indicating the posts should reach the office of the Registrar, University Secretariat, University of Kotli Azad Jammu and Kashmir, P.C 11100 latest by 10-11-2026, Incomplete and applications received after due date will not be entertained.

Note: In accordance with the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Sector Universities Act 2026, university teachers and retired University/Government employees are not eligible for above mentioned positions.
