Indus Group of Companies Looking for “ASSISTANT MANAGER IMPORT” for its Head Office located near to PIDC, Karachi
Job Description:
•Assist Import Manager by coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
•Prepare and review shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bill of lading, and customs declarations
•Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange transportation and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays
•Ensure compliance with import laws and regulations by staying updated on changes in customs requirements and assisting with customs clearance procedures
•Maintain accurate records of import transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations
•Coordinate with finance and account departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of import duties, taxes, and freight charges
•
JOB Specifications:
•Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing and reviewing documentation
•Knowledge of customs regulations, import-export laws, and international shipping procedures
•Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with various stakeholders
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet tight deadlines
•Analytical mindset to identify and resolve problems or inefficiencies in import-export operations
•Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
•Solution Oriented
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Supply Chain Management
•Proven experience in import-export operations, logistics, or a relevant role
•Strong understanding of INCO terms, shipping terms, and international trade terms
•05 to 06 years of relevant experience
