The Role:
S/he should have a deep understanding of designing and delivering a strategic and cost-effective program impacting working equines. Reporting to his/her Chairman of the board.
- Role Title: Chief Executive Officer – Brooke Hospital for Animals, Pakistan

- Term: Full-time – 40 hours a week

- Salary: As per Brooke Policy depending upon the qualification and experience.
Criteria for CEO Brooke Pakistan Candidate:
Relevant education and certifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, international development, business administration, social sciences) and appropriate certifications.
Experience:
- At least 12 years of experience in a senior management position in an international NGO, preferably in animal welfare or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing large teams, budgets, programs, and project cycle management.
- Experience working in the government sector e.g., Military, Civil Services, or a similar context is highly desirable.
- Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and managing resources to achieve organizational goals.
Knowledge:
- Excellent knowledge of the country of operation to identify workable pathways to achieve sustainable development.
- Knowledge of standards associated with programming in health/welfare and equid welfare in particular.
- Knowledge of Sphere and other key humanitarian standards including sustainable livelihoods.
- Excellent knowledge of IT programs (Microsoft Office Suite) and social networking platforms.
- Knowledge of the legal operating environment in Pakistan, especially laws and regulations related to animal welfare with strong risk management practices.
- Huge passion for animal welfare and commitment to Brooke’s mission.
Skills:
- Effective leadership of teams to establish strategic direction, resulting in budgeted plans and allocation of work to achieve high performance.
- Proven experience in recruiting, managing, and developing an efficient and effective team with the ability to support and devolve responsibility.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and the ability to work under pressure often to strict deadlines.
- Excellent spoken and written English. Some knowledge of local working languages will be an advantage.
Leadership Qualities:
- Leadership in promoting the global relevance, importance, and consistent application of animal welfare standards for accountability to affected communities through a worldwide Brooke community of purpose and practice.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, universities, institutes, legislatures, government officials, and civil society organizations.
