WE ARE HIRING | MANAGER – OPERATIONS
Mughal Energy Limited is seeking a highly experienced, technically strong and result-oriented professional for the position of Manager – Operations at its 36.5 MW Coal-Fired Power Plant near Lahore.
The position carries responsibility for ensuring safe, reliable, efficient and continuous plant operations, while leading the Operations team and driving improvements in plant availability, performance and operational discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead day-to-day power plant operations, ensuring safe and stable generation.
- Supervise Boiler, Steam Turbine/Generator and Balance of Plant (BOP) operations.
- Monitor plant parameters , identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure effective execution of start-up, shutdown, synchronization, load changes and emergency procedures.
- Monitor plant availability, reliability, efficiency, fuel consumption and operational losses.
- Lead, coach and develop Operations personnel and ensure effective shift management and handovers.
- Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Maintenance, HSE and other functions for operational readiness and equipment reliability.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, HSE requirements and operational standards.
- Provide management with timely reports on plant status, performance, risks and major operational issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification: B.E./BSc. in Mechanical, Electrical or Power Engineering from an HEC-recognized university.
Experience: 10–15 years of relevant experience in power plant operations, preferably in coal-fired thermal power plants.
Experience in Pulverized Coal (PC) Boiler, plant start-up/shutdown, troubleshooting and emergency response will be highly preferred.
