JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for experienced Machinery Maintenance Engineers skilled in packaged gas compression systems, particularly Ariel compressors and Waukesha engines. Responsibilities include maintenance oversight, technical troubleshooting, inventory management, and OEM coordination. Candidates should be safety-driven, proactive, and comfortable using data to guide reliability decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead maintenance planning, execution, and troubleshooting on Ariel gas compressors and Waukesha gas engines.
- Responsible for managing spare parts inventory, ordering, and ensuring timely availability of critical components.
- Implement and oversee condition monitoring programs including vibration analysis, oil sampling, temperature tracking, and performance data analysis.
- Analyze operational logs and equipment performance data to identify trends, predict failures, and initiate preventive measures.
- Coordinate actively with OEM representatives and external technical partners for advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, and equipment support.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on failures and implement reliability-focused corrective actions.
- Oversee preventive maintenance scheduling, execution, and documentation using SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Act as a technical expert during commissioning, equipment upgrades, and the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Mentor and guide technicians, promoting best maintenance practices and adherence to safety protocols.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4–10 years’ experience in gas compression, focused on gas engine-driven compressors; Waukesha and Ariel experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance/inventory systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Waukesha GET & ESM certification is a plus.
