Role Summary
The Assistant Manager – Production is responsible for supporting the overall management and coordination of manufacturing activities in the pharmaceutical production unit. This role ensures that production targets are met in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety standards, and regulatory guidelines (such as USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc.). The individual works closely with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to maintain efficiency
Role Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day production activities in accordance with batch manufacturing records (BMR) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, environmental, and regulatory norms.
* Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective actions.
* Maintain documentation related to production activities, deviations, change controls, and CAPAs.
* Support validation, technology transfer, and process optimization initiatives.
* Assist in audits (internal/external) and implement corrective actions as required.
*Â Coordinate with planning and warehouse for material availability and production scheduling.
Relevant Experience
2-3 Years of experience in the production function, along with experience in NPD, would be a plus.
