Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced PMO lead to drive project success, align project goals with overall business objectives, and leverage technology to enhance project management capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred PMP certification or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Experience in establishing and running a PMO
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Knowledge of current project management technologies and trends
Key Responsibilities:
PMO Strategy and Governance:
- Develop and implement PMO strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Establish and maintain project management methodologies, best practices, and standards
- Create and enforce project governance frameworks
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the organization’s project portfolio
- Prioritize projects based on strategic importance and resource availability
- Monitor project interdependencies and manage resource allocation
Project Oversight:
- Provide guidance and support to project managers
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Identify and mitigate project risks across the portfolio
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain project performance metrics and KPIs
- Create and present regular status reports to senior management
- Implement and manage project management tools and software
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the PMO team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning
- Provide training and support for project management methodologies
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between project teams and senior management
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant parties
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and enhance project management processes
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings
- Implement best practices from industry standards (e.g., PMBOK, PRINCE2)
Change Management:
- Develop and implement change management strategies
- Support organizational change initiatives related to project management
- Ensure smooth adoption of new processes and tools
Tech Stack Review, Adoption, and Implementation:
- Lead regular reviews of the organization’s project management and collaboration tools
- Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance project management capabilities
- Develop and execute strategies for adopting and implementing new tools across the organization
- Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems
- Collaborate with IT department to address technical requirements and security concerns
- Provide training and support to ensure the successful adoption of new technologies
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness and ROI of implemented technologies
