WE ARE HIRING ASSISTANT MANAGER IRD
Location: Karachi
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Manager IRD to support the development and execution of our IRD strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, formulating, testing and executing food products.
- Improve existing products in terms of taste, texture, shelf life, nutritional profile, etc.
- Conduct market and consumer trend research to identify innovation opportunities.
- Support feasibility studies for new ingredients or technologies.
- Keep updated with food safety regulations and industry trends.
- Ensure all IRD activities comply with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, trials, and formulations.
- Prepare technical reports, product data sheets, and presentation materials for Internal teams or clients.
- Liaise with production, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product launches.
- Assist in sourcing raw materials and qualifying suppliers.
- Support troubleshooting during production trials.
- Supervise junior IRD team.
- Manage small IRD projects under the guidance of the IRD Manager.
- Assist in budgeting and resource planning for IRD projects.
Requirements:
- BSc/MSc in Food Science and Technology.
- Minimum 7 years of practical experience with lab equipment and product trials.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with food laws and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, local regulations).
- Teamwork and good communication skills.
