Position Title = > I&C Engineer – Steam Turbine Based Power Plant
Employment Type = > One Year
We are looking for a competent and proactive Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our team at a Steam Turbine Based Power Plant. This role requires strong hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and turbine condition monitoring systems, along with the ability to support operations and guide technicians during maintenance and troubleshooting.
🕒 Experience Required: 7–8 Years (Steam Turbine Power Plant Experience)
📝 Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and support maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of instrumentation and control systems for steam turbines and auxiliary equipment.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ABB AC800M DCS, Siemens PLC, and plant SCADA systems.
- Monitor and analyze turbine condition using Bently Nevada 3500 series vibration monitoring system.
- Maintain and troubleshoot vibration sensors including proximity probes, accelerometers, and velocity sensors.
- Diagnose control and instrumentation faults impacting turbine protection, trips, and alarms.
- Review and interpret P&IDs, logic diagrams, control narratives, loop drawings, and vibration layouts.
- Coordinate with operations, electrical, and mechanical teams for safe and stable plant operation.
- Support logic modifications, system upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain system backups, configuration records, vibration trends, and technical documentation.
- Ensure smooth operation of plant IT networks by managing IT infrastructure and troubleshooting hardware & software issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, cyber security requirements, and permit-to-work procedures.
🎯 Required Skills & Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with ABB AC800M DCS and Siemens PLC.
- Practical knowledge of SCADA systems and control networks.
-Strong understanding of steam turbine control, protection, and condition monitoring. - Experience with Bently Nevada 3500 series, vibration analysis, and sensor calibration.
- Ability to interpret vibration trends, alarms, and trip settings.
- Good exposure to field instruments and control valves.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of managing plant IT networks, including system administration, network infrastructure, and effective troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and communication skills.
- Clear understanding of plant safety systems and engineering discipline.
