Job Opportunity: Category Executive – Fashion Designer
LAMA Retail is seeking a passionate and creative Category Executive-Fashion Designer to join our dynamic design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of style, a keen eye for trends, and the ability to translate concepts into visually appealing and marketable fashion designs. As a Junior Fashion Designer, you will play a crucial role in contributing to our brand’s aesthetics and driving innovation in our product offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Senior Designers to develop and execute fashion designs that align with LAMA Retail’s brand identity and target market.
Assist in creating mood boards, sketches, and initial design concepts for various collections, considering color palettes, fabric choices, and overall aesthetics.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to contribute fresh ideas and concepts for seasonal collections.
Help in researching fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and embellishments to stay informed and inspired by the latest industry developments.
Work closely with the Product Development team to ensure seamless transition from design to production, considering technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Contribute to the creation of tech packs, detailing specifications for patterns, construction, and materials.
Assist in reviewing and approving samples to ensure they match the design intent and quality standards.
Support in the coordination of photoshoots and presentations, providing input on styling and visual direction.
Maintain organized design files, including sketches, digital assets, and documentation.
Performs other duties as necessary to support the objectives of LAMA assigned by the company management.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative and innovative fashion designs.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and manufacturing processes.
Up-to-date knowledge of fashion trends, color theory, and design principles.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Adaptability to evolving design requirements and a fast-paced retail environment.
A positive attitude, a passion for fashion, and a desire to learn and grow within the industry.
Salary: 55k – 65k
Location: Upper Mall, Head-Office, Lahore
