We are looking for a WIP lead in Apparel Who would be managing the end-to-end Work in Progress (WIP) function across the complete Cut-to-Pack production cycle, ensuring effective control, visibility, and timely movement of orders across all production departments.The role will be responsible for driving WIP control across Cutting, Stitching, Washing, Finishing, and Packing, managing all interdepartmental movements, monitoring production closing dates, and ensuring timely PO closure across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor end-to-end Cut-to-Pack WIP activities, ensuring effective control of production quantities at every stage.
- Track WIP across Cutting, Stitching, Washing, Finishing, and Packing and ensure timely movement between departments.
- Monitor all interdepartmental movements of garments and maintain accurate visibility of order quantities and production status.
- Identify WIP bottlenecks, aging orders, production delays, and abnormal accumulation at different stages and coordinate corrective actions with relevant departments.
- Closely monitor production closing dates and follow up with respective departments to ensure orders are completed according to committed timelines.
- Monitor Purchase Order closing across all production departments and ensure timely closure of completed orders.
- Reconcile cut quantities against stitched, washed, finished, packed, rejected, damaged, and pending quantities to ensure accurate WIP accountability.
- Maintain effective control over WIP aging and highlight overdue or slow-moving orders to management.
- Ensure physical WIP movement is aligned with system-recorded transactions and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and circulate daily/weekly WIP reports, highlighting pending quantities, bottlenecks, closing-date risks, and PO closure status.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with departmental stakeholders to resolve WIP discrepancies and production constraints.
- Drive process improvements to reduce excess WIP, improve production flow, minimize reconciliation gaps, and enhance order visibility.
Qualification & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a relevant discipline.
Experience: Preferably 7–10 years of relevant experience in garment/textile manufacturing, including hands-on exposure to WIP control, production planning, or production operations. Denim/garment manufacturing experience will be preferred.
The position will be based at the site in Feroze Wattwan, Sheikhupura.
