Job Duties:
Data analysts typically have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Researching industry trends such as consumer buying habits or technological advances that may impact the industry in the future.
- Analyzing data such as revenue growth rates, inventory turnover rates, and profit margins.
- Providing recommendations to improve operations or increase profits, often working with the store manager or another member of the management team.
- Defining marketing strategies for specific products or services based on consumer preferences.
- Analyzing performance metrics such as sales volume and profit margins to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Providing recommendations regarding staffing needs based on seasonal fluctuations or new product launches.
- Recommending pricing strategies such as discounts or special offers to attract new customers and encourage repeat business from existing customers.
- Recommending new products or services based on market trends and customer preferences.
- Managing inventory forecasts to anticipate trends & maintain desired inventory levels.
- Preparing and presenting reports for yearly, quarterly, and monthly planning, statistics & productivity.
