We are seeking a diligent and experienced Fresh Produce Auditor to join our team at Al-Fatah. As a Fresh Produce Auditor, your main objective will be to ensure that the produce displayed in our retail stores meets strict quality standards, is competitively priced, well-merchandised, and complies with government policies. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors to develop effective business strategies to improve sales in the department.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits of fresh produce displayed in our retail stores to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the price competitiveness of our produce compared to market trends, making necessary adjustments as needed.
- Ensure that the presentation and merchandising of fresh produce is visually appealing and attracts customers’ attention.
- Collaborate with produce vendors to negotiate favorable pricing, delivery schedules, and promotional opportunities.
- Stay updated on government policies regarding the sale of fresh produce and ensure compliance within our retail department.
- Regularly assess the performance of produce vendors and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Analyze sales data to identify potential areas for improvement and work closely with vendors to develop effective business strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and new produce varieties, and communicate relevant information to vendors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail industry or fresh produce sector.
- In-depth knowledge of fresh produce quality standards, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques.
- Familiarity with government policies and regulations pertaining to the sale of fresh produce.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas of improvement and develop effective business strategies.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with produce vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in analyzing sales data and utilizing relevant software or tools.
- A proactive and result-oriented mindset to drive the sales growth of our fresh produce department.
