Exciting Opportunity: Assistant Manager – Utilities Maintenance
Location: Korangi, Karachi
Thal Engineering is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Assistant Manager – Utilities Maintenance to ensure the smooth operation, upkeep and reliability of utility systems within our facility. The role requires a strong engineering background, hands-on experience in maintenance and the ability to manage utilities efficiently to support uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of utility equipment including compressors, chillers, boilers, HVAC systems, generators and water treatment plants.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Manage maintenance records, utility consumption data and performance reports.
- Coordinate with production, safety and engineering teams for smooth utility support.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 4–6 years of experience in utilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
- Strong technical knowledge of utility systems and maintenance planning.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
