We are hiring Manager Procurement (Non-COGS Industrial)
Company: Hoechst Pakistan Ltd. Reporting to: Head of Procurement Location: Karachi Contract Type: Permanent
Key Accountabilities
- Understanding different projects and take full initiatives and provide complete technical support to project teams.
- Ensure compliance of bidding / tender requirements.
- To benchmark key pricing points and to provide analytical support on maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), technical and financial inputs to identify leverage points for negotiations.
- Hold talks with vendors when required and submit comparative studies for approval.
- Work in coordination with the Technical / Engineering & Projects Teams to ensure that all Projects related to Civil, Electrical, plant machinery & equipment are delivered on time.
- To help users in writing specifications.
- To coordinate with users in providing best possible estimate for AED preparation.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors
- Preferable qualification of BE or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience.
- Industrial / Mechanical / Technical purchasing experience.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of key manufacturers in the international market for Plant Machinery & Equipment.
- Knowledge of Local market vendors for MRO and other technical services.
