Position: Deputy Manager – Garments

What We’re Looking For:
- Qualification: BSc in Textile Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in a reputable textile/home textile unit with at least 5 years in a managerial role; strong background in stitching/garments operations (Made-Ups/Export setups preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily stitching operations of home textile Made-Ups (bed sets, comforters, curtains, cushions) to meet production targets
- Monitor line balancing, operator performance, WIP, and machine utilization
- Oversee specialized sewing operations including flat lock, overlock, hemming, piping, etc
- Ensure stitching quality meets buyer specifications and internal standards
- Conduct in-line and end-line inspections with the QC team, reducing defects through root cause analysis
- Coordinate with planning, cutting, embroidery, quilting, and finishing teams for smooth workflow
- Drive process improvement, lean practices (5S, efficiency tracking), and SOP revisions to reduce waste
- Lead and train supervisors, line in-charges, operators, and helpers, ensuring discipline, skill development, and productivity on the floor
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of stitching machines, sewing techniques, and machine settings
- Ability to interpret technical sheets and sewing specifications
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems for tracking and reporting

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and monitor embroidery schedules to meet deadlines and ensure timely, accurate execution with minimal rework.
- Allocate manpower and machines efficiently and oversee embroidery operations for optimal performance.
- Ensure embroidery meets design specifications, stitch quality, and color accuracy, conducting inline and final inspections.
- Resolve embroidery defects and coordinate with design/sampling teams for artwork reviews and approvals.
- Manage inventory of consumables, maintain production and quality records, and suggest process improvements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of embroidery machines and digitizing software
- Keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and design accuracy
- Expertise in production planning, team management, and fabric behavior during embroidery
- Strong problem-solving and quality improvement mindset
- Proficient in reporting, documentation, and process optimization
