OB OPPORTUNITY FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Patients’ Aid Foundation is looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist for the newly constructed Psychiatry Ward at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, established through a public-private partnership to provide high quality care to mental health patients. When fully operational, the ward will have 120 beds with separate units for adults, children and adolescents, and substance abuse/addiction.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with patients experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions, employing therapeutic interventions to enhance their daily living and social skills. This position is pivotal in aiding patients’ journey towards improved mental health and community reintegration.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• 1-2 years of experience in a mental health care setting
• A creative and adaptive approach to therapy, capable of tailoring interventions to individual patient needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to engage effectively with diverse patients
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals
• Strong ethical grounding and cultural sensitivity
